Homemade Sausage Pizza



  • 8 ounces of ready-made pizza
  • 1 minced fresh garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon white or yellow cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 thinly sliced onion
  • 4 crumbled Italian pork sausages
  • 1/2 tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 grated ounces part-skim mozzarella cheese  
  • 2 tablespoon minced basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 slice  medium  green bell pepper


Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Sprinkle 8 " square baking pan evenly with cornmeal and set aside.

Sprinkle flour in to work surface. 
Place dough on to that surface, turn to coat. 
With rolling pin ( or your fingers ) stretch the dough in to 10" -12" circle,
Transfer to prepared baking pan.
Press edges against sides of baking pan to form a rim.

Spread tomato sauce evenly on to prepared dough. 
Top sauce evenly with sliced onion and green bell pepper.

Sprinkle vegetables evenly with sausage, basil, black pepper, cheese and garlic. 
Bake 18-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust crispy.
Cut in to pieces and serve hot.
